I think it’s been 20 years now, but today, July 7, is the anniversary of Noto Airport’s opening. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, I’ve hardly been to Noto Airport at all, but even before it opened, I was involved in activities with organizations like the Junior Chamber International, where we explored various ways to utilize the airport, and I used to fly from there quite often until the pandemic began. It’s about a one-hour flight from Wajima to Tokyo. It’s a 30-minute drive from downtown Wajima to Noto Airport. When you think about it, it’s pretty amazing. You can get from Tokyo to Noto and Wajima in a single flight. Please be sure to use Noto Airport to fully enjoy Wajima!

It’s been a while since my last blog post—how is everyone doing? The COVID-19 pandemic has made things much harder for the tourism industry than I ever imagined, and I’ve been so overwhelmed that I didn’t even have the energy to write a blog post. But I’m thinking of slowly but surely getting back to blogging. Well, today, for a specific reason, I visited the Kanazawa Port Cruise Terminal for the very first time!! I was there to attend the award ceremony for a grant program that Ishikawa Prefecture had opened to the public to support the struggling food and beverage and tourism industries. This time, our business plan for Hotel Mercato Wajima was selected, so we’re looking forward to moving forward with it. Please stay tuned to find out what kind of project it is!
