About the Ishikawa Ryokan and Hotel Association | Ishikawa Ryokan and Hotel Association

Established on June 18, 1958 as the Ishikawa Prefecture Ryokan Environmental Health Trade Association under the Act on the Proper Management of Environmental-Health-Related Businesses. Following the 2001 legal revision it was renamed the Ishikawa Prefecture Ryokan Public Health Trade Association, and on May 26, 2009 it took its current name, the Ishikawa Prefecture Ryokan and Hotel Public Health Trade Association. With its secretariat in Kanazawa, the association carries out various programs under its articles of association for the sound development of its member ryokan and hotel businesses across the prefecture.

1. Programs to improve skills, knowledge and awareness for higher sanitation standards
2. Programs for improving facilities and equipment, and for rationalizing and streamlining management
3. Programs to improve the skills of operators and employees
4. Programs addressing the declining birthrate and aging population
5. Community coexistence (information exchange with each region) and stronger cooperation with local governments
